At All Saints’ and St John’s, many of us delight in the fellowship we are able to enjoy with the Christians of other churches in our villages. We recognise that people find their way to Jesus through various styles of worship, so you may like to know where you can find information about those other churches.
Waterbeach Baptist Church The pastor is Martin Ensall. The church has just been refurbished and given a light, open and welcoming entrance lobby
Waterbeach Salvation Army The Officers are Majors Colin and Valerie Harrod recently moved (July 14) to Waterbeach from Erdington in Birmingham. We look forward to working with them.
We also have valued links with several of the members of St Laurence’s Roman Catholic Church in Milton Road, Cambridge which is the Roman catholic parish church for both our villages.
The closest link between our churches is in Landbeach where there is a joint Bible Study Group which meets every Tuesday evening in The Old School. Further information from Ray Gambell at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01223 860757
Our other joint occasions are linked to the main Christian Festivals as follows
Christmas Eve: The Waterbeach churches help to lead the Community ‘Carols on The Green’ each Christmas Eve.
Good Friday: Processions and joint services in both villages
Easter Day: All five churches join for a Sunrise (or near sunrise!) Service in the grounds of the medieval Denny Abbey (just outside both villages) where singing is led by the Salvation Army Band . Normally followed by breakfast together.
